My Story
The path that led me here.
In my early 40s, something began to shift.
I started experiencing brain fog, intense mood swings, unfamiliar anger, anxiety, and periods of depression that seemed to last longer and appear out of nowhere. Deep down, I knew something wasn’t right, but I didn’t yet have the language or understanding for what was happening within my body.
I reached out for help and was diagnosed with Bipolar I. I was prescribed mood stabilizers, antidepressants, and benzodiazepines for a condition I did not actually have. Instead of finding relief, I felt increasingly disconnected from myself. My mind and body became more unsettled, and I began to realize I needed to search for a different path.
What I understand now is that I was experiencing perimenopause. But at the time, no one suggested it. No one connected the dots. For years, I carried the quiet belief that something was fundamentally wrong with me.
Eventually, some of the intensity began to soften. And then I entered menopause.
As I began learning more about what my body had been experiencing, I realized how many women share a similar story. For far too long, conversations about perimenopause and menopause have been limited, leaving many women without the information, support, or validation they deserve. Symptoms are often misunderstood, dismissed, or attributed to something else entirely.
In recent years, I've been encouraged to see this begin to change. More women are speaking openly about their experiences, awareness is growing, and menopause is finally becoming part of a broader conversation about women's health and well-being. I am grateful to witness this shift and excited to be part of it.
That journey ultimately led me here. She Breathes Again was created to offer women a supportive space for education, reflection, breathwork, and compassionate guidance through the transitions of midlife. My hope is that every woman who finds her way here feels seen, informed, and empowered to trust herself and her experience.
Finding answers - and something more
That’s when I began to search for answers.
I immersed myself in learning about menopause, hormones, and the very real physical, emotional, and mental shifts women experience in midlife. What started as a personal search for understanding quickly became something much deeper.
With every book, podcast, course, and conversation, I felt pieces of my own experience beginning to make sense. More importantly, I began to reconnect with myself in a way I hadn't in years.
At the same time, I found myself working closely with women experiencing many of the same challenges I had faced. Conversations that began casually often led to deeper discussions about symptoms, stress, identity, relationships, and the changes that can accompany this season of life.
Women began seeking me out for guidance, connection, and understanding because they knew I brought both professional knowledge and lived experience to these conversations.
Again and again, I saw how powerful it was for women to feel heard, supported, and validated. It became clear that many weren't looking for someone to fix them. They were looking for information they could trust, space to reflect, and support as they navigated what was next.
And I knew I couldn't keep what I had learned to myself.
Portugal + Breathwork
120 Minutes That Changed Everything
In 2025, during a trip to Portugal, I experienced guided breathwork for the first time in the small coastal village of Tavira.
What I expected to be a simple breathing practice became something far more profound.
During that session, I found myself releasing years of held emotion: frustration, grief, anger, sadness, and exhaustion that had quietly lived beneath the surface for far too long. For the first time in years, I experienced a deep sense of release, clarity, and reconnection with myself.
The experience was unlike anything I had encountered before.
In those 120 minutes, I gained more insight into myself than I had through years of trying to think, analyze, or push my way forward. It felt as though parts of me that had been waiting patiently beneath the noise were finally being heard.
By the time I left Portugal, I knew my path forward with a clarity I had never experienced before.
I felt called to bring together everything that had shaped my own journey: menopause education, breathwork, reflection, and compassionate support. Not to provide all the answers, but to create a space where women could feel seen, supported, informed, and more deeply connected to themselves as they navigate the transitions of midlife.
That experience became the foundation for She Breathes Again.
Integration
A way to ground.
A way to regulate.
A way to release what no longer needed to be carried.
Breathwork became more than a practice for me. It became a companion through a season of profound change.
As I began incorporating it into my daily life, I noticed subtle but meaningful shifts. I felt less reactive and more responsive. The constant undercurrent of anxiety began to ease. I was sleeping better, thinking more clearly, and moving through challenges with greater patience and self-awareness.
What I appreciated most was its simplicity. I didn't need special equipment, perfect circumstances, or hours of free time. I could return to my breath wherever I was, whenever I needed it.
Over time, breathwork gave me something I hadn't realized I was missing: a sense of trust in myself. Trust that I could move through difficult emotions without being consumed by them. Trust that I could pause before reacting. Trust that I could come back to myself, again and again.
For the first time in years, I wasn't just getting through life. I was fully present for it.
The Work I Do Now
Through She Breathes Again, I bring together lived experience, education, and practical support to help women navigate the transitions of midlife with greater understanding, confidence, and self-compassion.
My training includes:
• Certificates with Honors in Menopause & Hormone Coaching
• A Life Purpose Coaching Certificate with Honors
• Dedicated breathwork study, practice, and integration
My approach is gentle, grounded, and practical. I meet you where you are, without pressure, judgment, or the expectation that you should already have everything figured out.
Before stepping into this work, I spent nearly 30 years in real estate and property management, leading teams, building systems, and supporting people through complex and often high-pressure situations. While the industries may seem very different, the foundation of the work remains the same: listening deeply, building trust, offering guidance, and helping people navigate change.
That experience continues to shape how I support women today. I bring structure when things feel overwhelming, clarity when things feel uncertain, and compassion for the very human realities that accompany growth and transition.
I believe personal growth does not have to be overwhelming to be meaningful. Sometimes the most profound changes begin with a single conversation, a deeper understanding of what you're experiencing, or a moment to simply pause, breathe, and listen to yourself again.
Wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome here.
What I Believe
I believe women in midlife deserve more support, understanding, and practical information than they have traditionally been given.
I believe many women move through this season feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves after years of caring for careers, families, relationships, and the needs of everyone around them.
I believe emotional well-being is just as important as physical well-being.
I believe no woman should have to navigate this season alone.
And I believe that even in the midst of change, there is a path back to yourself.
Support should feel:
Clear
Compassionate
Grounded
Honest
Human
Because this season of life is not about becoming someone new.

A Little More About Me
I'm based in Portland, Oregon, and work with clients virtually across the United States. My hope is to one day offer an in-person space for sessions, workshops, and community gatherings here in the Pacific Northwest.
When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband, Eric, and our dogs, Elvis and Pumbaa. I love exploring new places, especially destinations outside the United States, discovering new music, and finding any excuse to be near the water.
Like many women, I know the importance of having practices that help me stay grounded and connected to myself. For me, that includes walking, yoga, breathwork, vagus nerve practices, and occasionally relaxing in a warm Jacuzzi with nowhere else to be.
These simple rituals remind me that well-being isn't found in perfection. It's built through small, consistent moments of care, presence, and connection.
